Great news! To date (June 30th. 2024) Origami Canada has been teaching over 60000 people in various activities (including virtual workshops worldwide). Our Free Origami Teaching Station gained more and more popularity in many diverse communities.
ORIGAMI CANADA
Origami Canada is a federal non-profit organization founded and registered by Jackie Han.
It’s a free mobile origami teaching station dedicated to promoting the art of origami to children, youth, parents, and seniors in various community activities/events.
Origami Canada was founded on the motto of “no borders”, as its core intention is for individuals of all cultural backgrounds, ages, and genders to enjoy origami equally.
It has become an indispensable part of many Canadian's leisure time during the pandemic.
Our vision:
* Design and create all kinds of complicated and beautiful origami models (single uncut sheet of paper)
* Promote and introduce the art of origami creation to Canadians and the world.
* Communicate the skills with the residents of Canada.
*Popularize the art of origami to Kids, children, teenagers, and seniors in various community activities, creating beautiful and colorful models for free.
He has been teaching himself for 10 years and has studied a variety of origami methods and origami models. His love and passion for origami have become an integral part of him as he engages the community. He promotes contemporary origami and shares his passion with children and seniors, enriching their lives while sparking all of his participant's natural curiosity!

Jackie Han, a first-year medical school student, is passionate about creating origami art with his hands from 6 years old. Insects, animals and architecture(geometric designs) are among some of his favorite subjects.
Jackie is always looking for new challenges to improve his origami craft. And, he would like to let everyone know that there is an amazing world of fun and creativity to be found in one piece of uncut paper!
